I’m gonna make this short and sweet. ISS ‘98 is the best of the series, upholding the excellence of the franchise and maintaining it as one of the best soccer sims for the home console. There will also be a PlayStation version, but it will have fewer teams (40 as opposed to 54 on the N64) and fewer stadiums (5 instead of 8).
The graphics have been enhanced, with the addition of more player animations. There are now over 17,000 individual animations. Good stuff. Also, ISS ‘98 innagurates the use of commentary, in the franchise. British futbol fanatic Tony Gubba will do the honors. Also included are 16 scenarios for you to play. Now you have the chance to replay historical Cup moments- maybe even rewriting a couple- and see if you have the skills it takes to be the best ISS gamer out there.
If you like soccer, just go out and buy this game. You don’t need me to tell you it’s a must have; ISS’s track record already has.
