Everyone has heard the story of the "Gingerbread Man" and Ateam Inc. has delivered a game that puts it right in the palm of your hand, sort of. Ateam Inc. is a company that makes a plentiful amount of applications and widgets for the Android devices and this time they have created a cute little game called Gingerbread Dash.

At first glance this title may look very childish and unappealing to older audiences but it is a gem on the marketplace. You take control of the famous Gingerbread Man as you run from the Wolf. You jump as you go along the screen in a side scrolling manner doing your best to avoid death. If you miss your jump, you could fall into water or get eaten by another animal, but if you are too slow the Wolf will catch and eat you. There are stars that you collect along the way that will grant you a power-up to benefit you, if you can hit them that is. Once you finally are killed, you are presented with a screen telling you how well you did. The screen will be pretty depressing at first saying your score was crummy, bad or awful but as your skill increases it becomes much more supportive.

This game does not have any background music but it will not stop you from listening to your own music that you have on your phone. The sound effects are fairly good in this title, though. Every power-up you obtain has its own unique sound. The Wolf has a snapping noise when you crunches down on your character as well. As your character jumps around the screen he makes a bouncing noise every time he touches ground.

The game is hand-drawn, or at least appears that way. The cartoony look really compliments the entire game and makes it even more enjoyable. The scenery changes the farther you get and changes from day to night and even climate. The Wolf’s eyes have a deep red color to really add to its evil design. The power-ups all have their own animations as well that are entertaining.

Gingerbread Dash provides near endless amounts of fun at a low cost, only about $1.25. While Ateam Inc. is known more for its themes than games, this shows that they know what people want. The game runs very well and, even with a somewhat older phone, has extremely minor lag issues. This title is well worth the money and is enjoyable by children and adults alike.

Cartoony graphics that fit the game very well. Having slight variations in the background for each area, like different trees in the first section, would be nice.

Audio

No music takes away a lot from the game. Sound effects are great though.
