Awesomenauts is Channeling the Awesomeness of the 80s

Awesome games require awesome songs and since Awesomenauts is, well, pretty awesome, it needed the awesomestest song ever! The game-audio guys at Sonic Picnic have been acutely aware of this after they played early builds of the game at Ronimo HQ, back in '09. After toiling away for weeks in their own audio-recording lair they came up with a song that blew us away in its 80's awesomeness. This song has been part of every Awesomenauts video, but especially the intro cinematic that you can view below.

Since then we've been getting requests from fans to please make the theme song longer and turn it into an actual song. But we at Ronimo have been way ahead of you, because we've been begging for the same thing ever since we heard it. And finally, they've listened to our pleas! It will be unleashed as soon as the sound has been tuned to perfection and all dials have been set to 11. Until then, Sonic Picnic has been kind enough to supply us with a development diary that delves deep into the bowels of Awesomenauts' audio production.

This dev diary, including a short preview of the extended theme song can be found here: http://www.awesomenauts.com/audio/

Awesomenauts is currently in the final stages of development, and will be released on Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in a few weeks’ time. A definitive release date will be announced as soon as possible.

About Awesomenauts:

Featuring a playable roster of six unique heroes, Awesomenauts brings ferocious team play and angry, lightsaber-wielding aliens together.

Awesomenauts will soon be available for download on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.
