So many video games based on television shows come out every year. Most are garbage titles that are rushed out of the door and only resemble the TV show they are based on in the graphics department. These games tend to lack polish and more importantly fun. There are titles that have been fantastic over the years but we don't think of them right away. Instead we think of Deadliest Warrior, Home Improvement, or Ben 10 to name a few. This week we asked the Gameplay Today staff what their favorite game based on on a tv show was and of course what they are playing.

AJ Lysiak: The Dynasty Warriors: Gundam series gets my vote. Technically there was never a show titled "Dynasty Warriors: Gundam," but the entire game is composed of anime backstory and characters. Hell, even the voice acting is composed of the original actors. It's a great trilogy of games, even better than the actual DW series in my opinion. (Cabela: Real Life Edition)
Samuel Evans: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Super Nintendo specifically was one of the better beat em ups of that era. Each ranger was unique in their fighting styles in human form or morphed as a ranger. Kimberly could fire arrows as the pink ranger or Billy did some kind of strange nerd fu. (Ocarina of Time 3D)
Nick Gearhart: I would have to say that the best TV Show based video game would have to be the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers video game on the SNES. I remember spending hours upon hours playing that game nearly everyday as a kid. I would always play as Jason because, let's face it, he was easily the best (since you couldn't choose Tommy). It is still one of my favorite 2D Beat Em Up games to date. (This week I will be playing Record of Agarest War, Final Fantasy Tactics, and, witch some luck, Death Smiles.)
Sean Talarico: I think the best tv show based video game was Turtles in Time for the SNES. Great music, great side scrolling beat em up, and to top it all off it was about the ninja turtles who are amazing. Although the gameplay is great, I think most of all the music, despite being on the SNES, is still some of the most memorable from my childhood. (I will be playing World of Warcraft.)
John Soto III: The best TV show video game for me has to be The Simpsons The Arcade Game by Konami. Another one of Konami's excellent 4 player arcades, Simpsons featured graphics that looked identically to the show as well as great music and voices from the show's cast. (This weekend I'll be playing more Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D)
Julianne Phelps: I actually like CSI on the DS.
