Nintendo has a history of not bringing over all of their goodies to America. Recently they said that The Last Story and Xenoblade are not in Nintendo's current plans. This same discussion has happened over the years across many different Nintendo platforms. The biggest one of note were the numerous refusals to bring any of the Mother (Earthbound) games stateside. Nintendo even passed on bringing one of the Game Boy Advance F-Zero titles here. So we asked the Gameplay Today staff how they feel about Nintendo's localization tactics and of course what they are playing.

AJ Lysiak: Nintendo hasn't cared about the hardcore gamer in years and despite what they say, they're not about to start. More money can be made from whatever Mario title can be slapped together in a weekend than a brilliant RPG better marketed in Japan. (This weekend I'll be playing MapleStory! Nothing else.)
Samuel Evans: Nintendo broke my heart more so when Fire Emblem was revealed to being staying in Japan. I just don't get Nintendo's unwillingness to bring over games in established franchises. Original IPs are risky but Nintendo stacks every single smash brothers game now with 2 or 3 Fire Emblem guys. It's teasing us! (L.A. Noire, Gears of War 2)
Austin Cox: I don't have an opinion since I'm more likely to try a pizza made out of a garbage can lid topped with worms and dog poop than turn on my Nintendo Wii, DS, DSi or 3DS. As for those games; not even a blip on my radar (Playing: No games this weekend - break)
Erin Gibson: I can't figure out why Nintendo wouldn't bring an acclaimed RPG from the creator of Final Fantasy to a country that gobbles up Final Fantasy games. Europe is getting Xenoblade, so why not America? (Playing: Transformers: Dark of the Moon -- Autobots for DS)
Nick Gearhart: I have not really cared much for Nintendo consoles since the GameCube but not localizing widely popular is a dumb move. Dragon Quest was a series that missed so many titles over here and now that they have been brought over, they have sold phenomenally. Nintendo should focus more on sales for now as opposed to waiting and possibly bringing the games over at a later time. If they wait too long no one will care about the games anymore, unlike the Dragon Quest series, and they will be a failure over here. (I will be playing MapleStory, Record of Agarest War and possibly Castlevania Harmony of Despair.)
Sean Talarico: Just confirms that Nintendo doesn't care about its Wii fan base unlike what they said at e3. I guess as long as they can keep selling to the Soccermom fan base who cares about the people who want actual games. I am very bummed out. (I will be playing Mount and Blade:With Fire and Sword)
John Soto III: This is another classic example of Nintendo not caring about the hardcore gamers that they claim to. With Xenoblade being translated to English and being published in Europe, there is NO reason they can't release it here in North America as well. Really quite sad and stupid on their part. (This weekend I'll be playing a lot of Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D)
Alfred Trujillo: Nintendo is just giving Fans a big slap in the face with this move. Doing this is just stupid. Where's the hardcore gamer love Nintendo? Oh here it comes! Another random Mario game. What's it gonna be the New NEW Super Mario Bros I'm getting a bit tired of the Mario games. (This weekend I'll be playing Final Fantasy 6 and finishing up side quests on Ocarina of Time 3DS.)
