E3 is a competition of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo battling it out for the best conference and trying to upstage each other. There are clear winners and clear losers at E3 and it all boils down to the press conferences. Nintendo could show Halo 4 for the new Nintendo system on the floor and it would get talked about, but also largely ignored. In the past we've seen Nintendo fail to impress with Wii Music, Microsoft show off the latest in gaming for pedophiles with Milo, and who can forget Sony's five hundred and ninety nine US dollars announcement. So we asked the Gameplay Today staff who won E3 and of course what they are playing.

Austin Cox: I can't really say that anyone won this year in terms of "shock and awe". I was looking forward to the new Nintendo console and that seems like a big bust. I was impressed with MS's variety of titles and Sony's PS Vita looks interesting, but nothing seemed "special". (Playing: Duke Nukem Forever on PS3)
AJ Lysiak: If I had to pick, I would say Microsoft won for me. While they didn't announce anything too spectacular, and many of their announcements like Fable: The Journey insulted me- Halo was enough to keep me happy. Sure, they're attacking a different market of gamers that I don't belong in. Let them have their Kinect fun, in the mean time they have enough quality exclusives to keep me around. (This weekend I'll be playing lots of Windows Phone 7 games, as well as some Final Fantasy XIII.)
Samuel Evans: Nintendo has won an E3 ladies and gentlemen. They showed off software for the 3DS that included big names like Mario and Luigi's Mansion then said we'd see most of them by the years end. They had a new system where they showed off a new gimmick many people will buy into and promised a return to the hardcore with a montage of 3rd party games featuring guns, blood, and gore. Microsoft showed us the Kinect has some hope but mostly is becoming the new Wii of shovelware. Sony was able to show many titles but most looked terrible and their new handheld, the Vita, looked great but lacked software that appeared fun. (Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood)
Sean Talarico: I think the company that has the most things I'm interested in was Sony. The stars seem to be allighning for their new handheld is looking amazing. Nintendo's new console is still up for grabs and the 3DS launch' lack of games and lack of news on localization of cool nintendo RPGs like last story bummed me out. Microsoft was in last place I saw nothing new or interesting beyond minecraft. (I will be playing Chrono Trigger DS this weekend.)
Erin: I really liked what Nintendo showed at their press gathering. I would have liked to seen more support for the Wii, but the 3DS and Wii U have my attention now. Microsoft did their best job so far and Sony was the biggest letdown. So Nintendo won for me with Microsoft being a close second. (Playing: Okamiden)
Stephen Byzek: Everyone is on crack. Sony drank the Nintendo kool-aid and showed us nothing but sequels. Oh, a new handheld? Big Deal. Microsoft at least brought new stuff to the table and lots of support for their device. Where was all of my move support? No waggle, just 3D and a "hey look over there we have a new handheld". (Playing Two Worlds, Halo Wars)
Nick Gearhart: Sony won hands down. Microsoft only showed off Kinect and Nintendo.....had an orchestra. Sony was the only company that really showed off all they had to offer. (This weekend I will be playing AC Brotherhood.)
John Soto: Sony Definitely won E3 by FAR! Who cares bout Kinect and an incremental update to the Wii that now only brings it to lower than 360 standards. Vita for the price of a 3DS and looks so good? SOLD!! (I'm gonna dig into Link's Awakening on my 3DS like it was the 90's all over again!)
