Yesterday, we discussed the first half of our feature on franchises and licenses we want to see get the LEGO treatment. We covered the usuals like the long talked about LEGO Halo, and others. Today we're covering some interesting movie and game licenses that you might not have considered before. Today we're covering entries 6 through 10 accompanied with some honorable mentions of course.
We’ve embraced one “LEGO-ized” movie franchise game after another. So why not some of the great licenses we're looking at below? Let's take a look at the rest of the movie and game franchises we want to see get the Traveller’s Tales LEGO treatment.
LEGO Back to the Future
Who doesn’t want to race their LEGO DeLorean up to the required 88 mph so they can travel through time and bust LEGO blocks in 1885, 1955, and 1985? Back to the Future has so much going for it, that it almost begs to be made into a LEGO game. Sure we enjoyed the recent episodic adventure releases via digital download, but Marty McFly needs a true retail release and we want it in LEGO form. The stories are already in place and the world is ready for more Back to the Future.
LEGO Grand Theft Auto
No we haven’t lost our minds. Because little plastic people running around and beating the living heck out of each other so they can steal LEGO vehicles would be awesome. Can you imagine the awesome destructible environments that you could interact with. Say you have cops chasing you with a six star rating? Just go back and reassemble the cop you shot and take off. Suddenly that rating drops to a three and you can escape. There are a ton of possibilities that escape our limited imaginations. If Midway could put “green goo” in place of blood for Mortal Kombat on the SNES, why couldn’t the same be done for LEGO Grand Theft Auto?
