The talk of the town before the PSN went down was sequel to the Wii which was codenamed Project Cafe. We know a sequel system or an entirely new brand name is coming from Nintendo. The extent of the actual confirmed knowledge ends there and we'll learn more at E3 this year. So we asked the staff what could make them want the first entry in the new generation of consoles.

Austin Cox: I'm still trying to find a reason to pick up the 3DS, Project Cafe (Wii 2) will just offer another Zelda and Mario game. No thanks. (playing: Atari Jaguar Weekend: Cart and CD games)
AJ Lysiak: There are a few games that might make me interested in this new console. F-Zero, Animal Crossing and Metroid to name a few. Still, after the Wii I won't be buying anything until I see some quality titles.(Playing Mortal Kombat and Outland)
Samuel Evans: A commitment to gamers and not soccer moms. Also a proper Star Fox entry and not a remake. (Fancy Pants Adventures, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow)
Sean Talarico: I'll buy it when my body is ready. (I will be playing Microsoft Office Word 2010. It's a fun little sandbox game but alot of the features are rehashed from the year before.)
Nick Gearhart: I would buy the system if it somehow ended up having a good number of exclusive titles that I REALLY wanted. (Halo Reach and Bioshock 2)
Gary Guillot: If Zelda: Skyward Sword were its launch title--and it very well may be, yet-- but if not, then I guess there's no point. And honestly, the Wii is still new enough to make games for it. Kinda like the Wii and Gamecube... when Twilight Princess came out there were two versions, one for Wii, one for GCN. I'm already sold on the 3DS, however, and am still scheming on ways to get one.... (Morrowind)

if developers can make games that are this good with 360/ps3 graphics then you can count me in on day 1
Oh, and e3 will bring us tidings of a new Super Smash Bros. for Project Cafe. If that doesn't get you excited then we might as well give you a virtual boy and send you off to Antarctica.
Somebody might want to tell this guy that MS and Rare own Banjo Kazooie and Conker. They're exclusive. megaman is Capcom. There's more, but try Google.
