Malaysian gamers—and gamers from neighboring countries—flocked to the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Malaysia International Game Show, the biggest video game event in the country this year. Held over the second of December to the fourth, the Malaysia International Game Show was open from 11 am to 9 pm, which allowed thousands upon thousands of gamers to explore the newest titles and technology.
The Malaysia International Game Show showcased high profile video game tournaments such as the One Asia Cup 2011, which featured the massively multiplayer online sports title FIFA Online 2. Competitors from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia are pitted against one another for the grand prize of RM10,000, a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Keyboard, a keyboard bag, and plenty of other swag.
There was also a Tekken Tag Tournament HD Challenge, which used the recent Tekken Hybrid release and was held at the last day of the Malaysia International Game Show. Thirty-two players faced each other for a chance to win a PlayStation 3 160GB console.
