When I eventually saw the trailer for Bulletstorm, like with most modern FPS games I see, I simply shrugged my shoulders and said, "Meh." To me, the genre had become over-saturated with Halo, Call of Duty and Battlefield sequels, prequels and spin-offs. With such formulaic titles floating around, it's hard to imagine an FPS that could really break the mold. FPS games like Serious Sam, Postal and Duke Nukem remain some of my favorites simply because of their zaniness. There's no formulaic, overdone story; the main characters actually have personality and the violence is unthinkable and hilarious.

So, when I learned that Bulletstorm awarded points for crotch shots, ass shots and other wacky kills, I thought, "Hmm, this seems REALLY familiar..." And then I remembered, "OH, YEAH!" It's been done before. Just like every other FPS... it's been done before, time and time again. By Duke Nukem, Postal, Serious Sam and every other FPS on the market. Honestly, what can be so special about this game? Just like that South Park episode where everyone keeps saying, "Simpsons did it," I keep saying, "Duke Nukem did it!"
